Large solar carports & rooftops

Why choose Sireos expertise

Mastering interfaces with existing structures
Rooftop and solar carport projects require close coordination between the photovoltaic installation and other site elements.
On rooftops, Sireos can integrate photovoltaics and waterproofing into its scope, as an EPC contractor or as part of a consortium. The roofing package is co-designed with the photovoltaic layout, mounting systems, and any necessary work on PV-ready roofs to ensure overall technical consistency.
For carports, the design accounts for existing utilities and can incorporate the conduits and provisions required for future charging stations from the start, avoiding the need for further structural work once the plant is operational.

Construction that preserves site operations
When work takes place on an active site, Sireos adapts its organization to minimize disruption and ensure safe co-activity.
- Prevention plans and coordination of various stakeholders;
- managing traffic flow and interfaces with site operations;
- work scheduled outside of production or peak hours when necessary;
- phasing work by zone to maintain activity on the rest of the site;
- specific methodology for existing buildings and, if necessary, asbestos removal integrated into the project phasing.

A footprint that grows, project by project
At SIREOS, we contribute to the energy transition by developing, building, and maintaining large-scale photovoltaic power plants.

Anticipating structural constraints
For both carports and rooftops, site constraints are identified upfront to secure the design and limit risks during the construction phase.
For carports:
- utility detection and soil testing before execution studies;
- accounting for soil characteristics when sizing foundations;
- incorporating wind and snow loads into structural calculations.
For rooftops:
- structural diagnostics and load-bearing capacity verification;
- identifying necessary reinforcements and integrating them into the cost estimate;
- accounting for the condition and characteristics of the existing building.

Design compatible with site requirements
Every project is designed with its regulatory, insurance, and operational constraints in mind. For rooftop projects in particular, Sireos integrates fire safety and insurability requirements from the design phase to secure the project as a whole and anticipate any constraints that could affect its implementation.
Our organizational structure also allows us to adapt our scope to the chosen delivery method: turnkey EPC, with or without module supply, General Contractor, Balance of Plant (BoP), or electrical package only.
